Visiting Scholar of Financial Economics and Professor of Finance at London Business School

Prof. Vikrant Vig, Ph.D.

Prof. Vikrant Vig is Professor of Finance at the London Business School. Previously, he had gained a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Vikrant Vig’s academic field of interest encompasses Corporate Finance, Law and Finance, Banking, and Organizational Economics.

He is co-editor of the "Review of Finance" and associate editor of the "Journal of Financial Intermediation" and "Finance Research Letters". Organizations worldwide have made use of his expertise. Vikrant Vig gave talks at renowned universities like Harvard, Chicago, Berkeley, Yale, Wharton, and Columbia and in 2005 was a Visiting Scholar at the Reserve Bank of India.

In various publications Vikrant Vig analyzed the subprime crisis in the United States. In collaboration with Deutsche Bundesbank, he investigated aspects of banking regulation and supervision.
