The IMFS in colllaboration with the Doctorate/PhD Program Law and Economics of Money and Finance organized a lecture with subsequent panel discussion concerning "Sovereign defaults in the euro area: Legal and economic issues" on Wednesday, June 30th, 2010. Lectures were given by Prof. Michael Burda, PhD (Humboldt University Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Jörn Axel Kämmerer (Bucerius Law School).

The 7th IMFS Public Lecture took place on December 15, 2009 from 6 - 7.30 pm. Ms. Lea Kamecke, Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, lectured on "Art and Capital: Value and Currency Systems in Art and Art Market since 1925". The lecture took place in Room "Commerzbank" (E.22) in the House of Finance.
