On November 2, the Council handed over its Annual Report to Chancellor Angela Merkel. As a member of this Council, IMFS Professor Wieland will talk about the key findings, the Council's reform recommendations for Germany and Europe as well as the current monetary policy in the euro area.
The German Council of Economic Experts is an independent academic body advising German policy makers on questions of economic policy. It consists of five members, currently Prof. Dr. Christoph M. Schmidt, Prof. Dr. Peter Bofinger, Prof. Dr. Lars P.
