Volker Wieland advocates relief for companies (Börsen-Zeitung)

At the European Banking Congress in Frankfurt, Prof. Volker Wieland spoke out in favor of a supply-oriented economic policy. In a panel discussion on the appropriate "policy mix", Wieland advocated strengthening the competitiveness of European companies not through individual subsidies, but through general relief or measures to alleviate the shortage of skilled workers.

Participants in the panel discussion included the governor of the Belgian central bank, Pierre Wunsch, and the deputy secretary general of the OECD, Fabrizia Lapecorella.
