Helmut Siekmann criticizes commissions for withdrawing money from savings banks' terminals ("Hessenschau")

More and more savings banks are introducing bank fees when clients want to withdraw money at a terminal. According to Helmut Siekmann, this is not consistent with the responsibilities of savings banks.

“Savings banks are public agencies and as such supposed to serve the common good”, Siekmann said who is a Professor for Money, Currency and Central Bank Law. “They would do well to offer their services at a reasonable price”.
