Volker Wieland and the Kronberger Kreis propose uniform inheritance tax rate ("Süddeutsche Zeitung")

At the beginning of the consultations regarding the reform of the inheritance tax in the German parliament (Bundestag) and the Federal Council (Bundesrat) the six professors forming the Kronberger Kreis, among them Volker Wieland, propose a uniform inheritance tax rate of ten percent.

As the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" reports, the economists suggest a fair and efficient inheritance tax with low tax rates for all legacies.

Among the members of the Kronberger Kreis, that is the Scientific Council of the Market Economy Foundation, are Clemens Fuest (Mannheim), Justus Haucap (Düsseldorf), Berthold Wigger (Karlsruhe), Heike Schweitzer (Berlin) and Volker Wieland.
