Research and Publications

Research interests of Volker Wieland include monetary and fiscal policy, business cycles and macroeconomic models, inflation and deflation, learning and economic dynamics as well as numerical methods in macroeconomics.

His research has been published in leading economic journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the European Economic Review and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control.

Recently, Wieland has been coordinating the creation of a public archive of macroeconomic models for comparative purposes: the Macroeconomic Model Data Base.
