Rainer Haselmann is Professor of Finance, Accounting and Taxation at Goethe University and a Research Fellow at the London Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Since 2018, he has been a Director of the Center for Advanced Studies on the Foundations of Law and Finance at Goethe-University together with Professor Tobias Tröger. From 2011 to 2014, Haselmann was a Professor of Finance at the University of Bonn.
His research focuses on banking, financial regulation and corporate governance and was published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Political Economy and the Review of Financial Studies. In 2006, he obtained his Ph.D. at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and in 2002 he received his Master in Money and Banking at Maastricht University.
