Balint Tatar receives Honorable Mention Award 2021 of the International Association for Applied Econometrics

For his paper "Bayesian Estimation of DSGE Models with Hamiltonian Monte Carlo," Ph.D. student Balint Tatar received the Honorable Mention Award at this year's International Association for Applied Econometrics conference. The association honors young scientists for special research results they present at the annual conference.

Balint Tatar joined the scientific staff of the German Council of Economic Experts (GCEE) as an economist for macroeconomics in June 2021. Prior to joining the Council, he has been working as a research assistant at the IMFS. As part of his PhD studies his research focusses on dynamic and international macroeconomics as well as on estimation methods of macroeconomic models.

His co-author is the IMFS graduate Mátyás Farkas, an economist with the European Central Bank (ECB). The paper is available as IMFS Working Paper 144.

The International Association for Applied Econometrics (IAAE) is located in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The Journal of Applied Econometrics is edited by the IAAE.
