How the economy can recover (Op-ed of the German Council of Economic Experts in Süddeutsche Zeitung)

In an opinion piece in the German daily "Süddeutsche Zeitung", the members of the German Council of Economic Experts, among them Prof. Volker Wieland, demand pinpointed measures to stimulate the economy in the corona crisis. In their view, a scrapping bonus is not appropriate.

Instead, the members of the GCEE support a tax loss carry-over or carryback, a reform of energy prices as well as promoting private and public investment.
