In Volker Wieland's opinion stimulus package does not include real reforms (Reuters)

According to Prof. Volker Wieland, the government measures are a "substantial stimulus package". However, in his view, it is too minutely detailed and do not show any reform approach, he said in an interview with the news agency Reuters.

It was a wasted opportunity for concentrating on a few key measures, he said. It could have put emphasis on improving the general conditions for investment and employment in the long run, e.g. by abolishing the solidarity tax completely.
