Volker Wieland does not expect another severe recession because of corona measures (Reuters)

According to Prof. Volker Wieland, the tightened corona regulations in December will not cause a further severe slump in economic performance. They are already part of the corona recession. As long as the supply chains are functioning and industrial production is up and running, the situation is not comparable to the spring, he told the news agency Reuters.

In order to maintain productivity, he said, it was important that schools and kindergartens remained open, otherwise parents would have to take on more childcare again.
