In an interview with CNBC, Professor Volker Wieland talked about the ECB's decision to increase its bond purchases. Regarding ECB president Mario Draghi calling on euro zone countries to reform their economies, Volker Wieland considered the reforms of the Greek government als going backwards. He pointed out that Italy remained a concern in the euro zone and should use the opportunity provided by monetary policy to enact reforms. "This would be a good time to really push through serious structural reforms", he said.
