Why do the policy approaches to inflation risks differ in the UK, the U.S. and in the euro area? In an interview with Deutsche Welle Business Volker Wieland explains why the central banks act differently and which dangers come with that.

In the U.S., inflation has risen much more than in the euro area, Wieland said. Also the economy has exceeded pre-crisis level sooner than in the euro area. "It makes sense that the ECB is a bit slower than the Fed but, nevertheless, I think they are too slow."
