ZEVEDI conference "Opportunities and Risks of Digital Transformation in Finance and Beyond" on June 2 and 33

Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) will be the focus of a discussion moderated by Professor Roland Broemel on June 3. The roundtable will conclude a two-day conference organized by the Centre Responsible Digitality (ZEVEDI). IMFS Professor Roland Broemel is a member of the AI & Finance project group, which combines research from the fields of law, economics, business informatics and computer science.

Regarding central bank digital currencies, Ulrich Bindseil (European Central Bank) will explain the digital euro project and Corinne Zellweger-Gutknecht will present her research on the legal framework of CBDC.The hybrid format event in Frankfurt brings together experts to discuss the latest research and case studies on the opportunities and risks of digital transformation in finance and beyond.

The Centre Responsible Digitality (ZEVEDI) is a research network which actively reaches out into politics, society and the economy. It combines the scientific expertise of researchers based at Hessian universities in order to analyse the ethical and legal dimensions of digital transformation, thus contributing to shaping this transformation. ZEVEDI engages in research projects, promotes the transfer of scientific knowledge into society and the economy and provides research-based policy advice on the topic It was founded in November 2019 and is supported by the Hessian Minister for Digital Strategy and Innovation.
