Prof. Michael Haliassos and Prof. Heike Schweitzer join the IMFS

Two more researchers will enhance the IMFS team of researchers with immediate effect. Michael Haliassos, Chair of Macroeconomics and Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt, will join the IMFS Board of Directors. Prof. Heike Schweitzer will support the IMFS as Associated Professor and Research Fellow.

Haliassos has been holding the chair since 2004 and as an expert for household finance, consumer and investment behavior and financial literacy, is also advisor to the European Central Bank on the Eurozone Survey of Household Finances and Consumption since its inception in 2006. Prof. Heike Schweitzer holds the Chair for Civil Law, German and European Commercial and Competition Law and Economics at the law faculty of Humboldt University Berlin. She is a special advisor to EU commissioner Margrethe Vestager for digitalization and competition policy and, among other things, a member of the Kronberger Kreis.
