The IMFS is the anchor project of the Foundation of Monetary and Financial Stability (Stiftung Geld und Währung) ("Bundesbank Magazin")

In its latest edition, the employee magazine of Deutsche Bundesbank “Bundesbank Magazin”, presents the tasks of the Foundation of Monetary and Financial Stability (Stiftung Geld und Währung“). The IMFS is considered the anchor project of its basic research in economics and law.

“Internationally renowned economists and legal experts are working side by side, carried by an interdisciplinary spirit of research, which is a rarity in the German academic landscape”, Willy Friedmann says, IMFS Distinguished Fellow and Chairman of the Foundation between 2010 and 2015.

By establishing high-level seminars and issuing a wide range of publications the IMFS has become a prominent voice in the area of monetary and financial stability that is perceived beyond its area of specialization, the “Bundesbank Magazin” writes.

Also the almost 1.600-page Commentary on the European Monetary Union edited by Helmut Siekmann is highlighted among the Foundation’s major activities. The commentary supported by the Foundation has established itself as standard reference within a very short time.
