IMFS Working Lunch "European Union - Where To?" on November 30, 2016

The future of the European Union is at the focus of a discussion between Athanasios Orphanides, Michael Haliassos and Volker Wieland in the IMFS Working Lunch series on November 30, 2016.

Athanasios Orphanides is Professor of the Practice of Global Economics and Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He served as Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus from 2007 to 2012 and was a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank between 2008 and 2012.

Michael Haliassos is Professor of Macroeconomics and Finance at Goethe University. From 2010 to 2013, he advised the Greek government as member of the Greek National Council on Research and Technology. He is among the editors of the blog „Greek Economists for Reform“.

Volker Wieland ist member of the German Council of Economic Experts and IMFS Professor for Monetary Economics.

Each participant starts off with a short statement, folllowed by a discussion, which will be moderated by Tobias Tröger, Professor of Private Law, Trade and Business Law, Jurisprudence at Goethe University and IMFS Affiliated Professor.
