He does not see climate targets being jeopardized by the continued operation of coal-fired power plants: "For every ton of CO2 emitted by a power plant, the operator has to buy a certificate. These certificates are limited - for all power plants in the EU. If you don't emit more certificates, you can't emit more CO2."
