Mewael F. Tesfaselassie

From September 2019 until March 2020, Mewael F. Tesfaselassie was a Visiting Scholar at the IMFS, in addition to his position as researcher and lecturer at Mannheim University. He holds a Ph.D. from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. His current research focuses on monetary policy, endogenous growth and business cycles, and unemployment and the labor market. His academic field of interest encompasses monetary-macroeconomics, open-economy macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policies, and adaptive learning in macroeconomics. He collaborates closely with Maik Wolters, IMFS Research Fellow and Professor of Macroeconomics at Friedrich Schiller University Jena.


Wooheon Rhee

Wooheon Rhee visited the IMFS between December 2019 and February 2020. He obtained his Ph.D at Yale Univeristy, and is currently teaching at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, Korea since 1995. His research has mainly focused on the analyses of the Korean economy based on DSGE frameworks. More specifically, he is interested in the effects of fiscal stimulus, financial factors and the macroeconomy, and modelling of the Korean electricity market.
