IMFS Summer Research Seminar in Financial Stability: Vikrant Vig
"The Failure of Models That Predict Failure: Distance, Incentives and Defaults"

Vikrant Vig is Chaired Associate Professor of Finance (with tenure) at London Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance (2008) from the Graduate School of Business of Columbia University.  His research has been published or is forthcoming in top scientific journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics,  the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial Economics. He has won several best paper awards. His paper with Ben Keys, Tanmoy Mukherjee and Amit Seru has already had a significant impact on the field.

IMFS Summer Research Seminar in Financial Stability: Tobias Adrian
"Intermediary Leverage Cycles and Financial Stability"

Tobias Adrian is Vice President in the Capital Markets Function of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a research fellow at CEPR (London) and has taught as visiting professor at the Bendheim Center for Finance at Princeton University. His research has been published in top scientific journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Financial Studies.  His work with Hyun Shin and Markus Brunnermeier has already had a major impact on the field of financial stability.

Am 9. Mai hielt Prof. Dr. Tobias Tröger, Professor für Bürgerliches Recht, Handels- und Wirtschaftsrecht sowie Rechtstheorie an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, einen Vortrag zu "Organisationsentscheidungen von Banken bei grenzüberschreitender Tätigkeit".
